A while ago ultramobilegeek.com decided to test how fast and easy the Eee is out of the box and was very impressed.
Its a lot cheaper and smaller then a iMac. I was thinking about getting one for backpacking, camping and traveling. The only thing that would worry me would be getting one of the popular G3 USB Dongles to work with a Linux laptop. I know XP will install on the Asus, but I’d prefer Linux for speed and reliability.
