The Asus is perfectly fast as the 1GB of RAM seems to be perfectly OK. So it copes well with the programs you would realistically want to run. As you would expect starting up shutting down are very quick. The keyboard despite the obviously small key’s . Those that type with one or two fingers need not worry! For battery life expect six hours plus on a full charge. If you are ever stuck, just ask on the forums as there is an incredible amount of info on every conceivable question you may have about EeePcs on the web. Inded they seem to have a cult following.
